I provide a warm, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental affirming therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and accepted just as you are. I’m here for you and your family, to listen with caring understanding. I have a trauma-informed approach and provide support to help you or your child effectively address personal life challenges. This approach will be designed according to your family's needs and commitment to personal growth.
I have a systems orientation that views people within the context of relationships rather than isolated individuals. I can help you identify your strengths and resources to develop hope and resilience in your life. My approach reflects my training in Emotion Focused Therapy. I utilize various modalities depending on the needs of the client, including but not limited to: client-centered expressive arts, sand tray therapy, problem-solving, mindfulness, Collaborative Problem Solving, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Through the counseling relationship, we can explore and give voice to the difficult experiences, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, which may be interfering with living the meaningful and valuable life that is important to you. I am committed to the therapeutic relationship as the change agent. I work collaboratively with you and your family to define goals for therapy and develop creative ways of reaching those goals. I consider it an honor to accompany you on your journey of healing, self-discovery, and personal growth.
