FAQs

When will the groups be held?
When you register for the group, you will be able to select some times that will work for your son/daughter. When creating the groups, we work to find a time that is mutually beneficial for all participants. We will contact you when the time/day is set.

How often do the groups meet? How long does each session last?
Groups will meet weekly, beginning the week of August 10. The session will last through the fall semester, for a total of 14 weeks. (No sessions the week of Thanksgiving.

How much does each group cost?
Most groups are eligible for reimbursement through your health insurance, so your cost is your co-pay or co-insurance. If you choose to be self-pay, the cost for each group session is $40. Sessions are billed during the first week of the month.

What technology is necessary to participate?
All groups are conducted via password-protected, HIPAA-compliant Zoom conferencing services. Any computer, tablet, or smart phone with video and audio capabilities can be used to participate.

Who facilitates the groups?
All of our clinicians are licensed professional counselors. Depending on group size, the group may have two group leaders. Which clinician runs the group will be dependent on scheduling availability of participants.

How do parents learn about the topics covered?
Groups with a psycho-educational focus will provide regular information about topics covered and strategies families can use at home to support the focus of the groups.
