I’ve always wanted to work with and help kids and teens, and that desire has only been strengthened during my time in my masters program. My time working with the St. Louis Association for Gifted Education (SAGE) and Kids Under Twenty-One (KUTO) sparked my interest in the population, and gave me experience in helping adolescents navigate the everyday difficulties they face. I also specialize in working with identified gifted, high ability, and twice-exceptional (2e) individuals.
My positive philosophy regarding mental health helps me encourage my clients to open up and explore their issues, and I love helping my clients grow and become successful in their own ways. My goal is for clients to learn about themselves while working to reach their individual goals and become confident in their abilities.
When working with clients, I use a Person-centered approach as well as integrate Cognitive-Behavioral interventions in my sessions. I believe every person is unique, therefore I tailor my counseling style to what best fits and most benefits the client. I enjoy working with all aspects of my client’s lives including school, work, and home to help them succeed in all aspects. Everyone has the ability to reach their potential and be successful, and I hope I can assist in that journey!
