Sometimes, individuals need help developing coping skills to overcome the general struggles of life.  At Summit Counseling Services, our team works with you to build on the skills that you already have. We set goals together and determine appropriate strategies that will help you to overcome what you are facing.

If there is a clinical concern, we are able to collaborate with your personal medical professional to determine the appropriateness of medication. Our staff is also experienced in working with schools to help coordinate appropriate services to meet your child's needs.

Educational Consultations

Whether you have questions about creating a Section 504 Plan for your child or want to be sure that the Individualized Education Plan developed by the school is appropriate, Summit Counseling and Assessment can help provide guidance through that process.  Our staff has experience working in the public schools with both special education and gifted education, so they can help guide you through the process of meeting those needs.

IQ testing is often needed for a variety of reasons. IQ test scores can be submitted to school districts for placement in gifted education services, application to PEGS in Lindbergh and Pattonville, or Missouri Scholars Academy. Please request more information here.
