Sometimes, individuals need help developing coping skills to overcome the general struggles of life. At Summit Counseling Services, our team works with you to build on the skills that you already have. We set goals together and determine appropriate strategies that will help you to overcome what you are facing.
If there is a clinical concern, we are able to collaborate with your personal medical professional to determine the appropriateness of medication. Our staff is also experienced in working with schools to help coordinate appropriate services to meet your child's needs. Counseling sessions are typically 45-minutes in length. Our testing services include an encouraging and non-threatening environment for the testing session, a fully scored report (including behavioral observations and educational recommendations), and a follow-up consultation (via email, phone, or in-person) to go over the results. IQ test scores can be submitted to school districts for placement in gifted education services, application to PEGS in Lindbergh and Pattonville, or Missouri Scholars Academy.
