Stefanie O'Neill, LPC
![]() ABOUT STEFANIE:
I believe that children and adolescents experience and communicate their emotions differently than adults. Their emotions may be expressed through difficulty learning, aggressive actions, refusal to participate in activities, use of drugs or alcohol, self-harm or having negative beliefs or perception of themselves and their world. These behaviors interfere with their development socially, educationally and intellectually. They need support in order to make positive changes in their lives. I utilize my experiences as a Parent, Middle School Teacher, Clinical Counselor and School Based Mental Health Counselor to formulate a well-rounded approach to working with clients. I use my knowledge of mental health and behavioral strategies to help clients at home, work and school with emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, anger and other mental health concerns. I have 11 years of experience in community and school-based mental health support. I maintain a very approachable, positive environment that promotes resiliency in my clients. Through play and talk therapy methods my clients are encouraged to learn the causes of their emotions and behavior and then coping skills to deal healthily with them in the future. Please contact us to set up an appointment or a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine how I can best meet your needs. |
